NAT router message at every pc start up

#1 Post by ipbr21054 » 2018-03-13 08:56

Morning,
For the last few days now i have seen the Server screen pop up when i start my pc showing a message about,Looks like you are behind a NAT router.
This isnt the case & i click ok etc for the screen to go & all works fine.

What can be done to not see this screen / message every day ?

Many thanks

If you aren't behind a NAT router, why doesn't your computer have a public IP address?

The automatic popup problem might be solved by enabling:

So I got that wrong, some members are not 100% up to speed with some of this computer stuff.
I also have learning difficulties so please remember that not all users are pc compliant.

Why has this NAT message just started to show itself ?

What is the procedure then to fix it ?

Messages just don't start showing itself for no reason. If the message didn't appear before and now it does, something must have changed to trigger the message.

Well, if you are using Windows 10, the answer is: Windows 10. That abomination of an OS changes rapidly, and not for the better.

I should of mentioned.

I am using Windows 7 32bit.

If you use team viewer I don’t mind paying some kind of fee.

Well this morning i tried to send some files to the pc and all worked fine.
Nothing has been touched sinced yesterday when it never worked at all.

Looking at the text in the software it does show in red the NATS issue but then in blue & green connected on port 21,welcome to my server, then username, password required, PASS *********,logged on.

So can you explain what is happening as like i say before i never touch anything and the NATS message is shown but then its shown today with the other text.

I can send screen shot if you need to inspect.

The red NAT warning is shown in case FileZilla Server does not know your external address. It is required for Passive mode. It might "work" with unencrypted traffic on the default port, but it will *definitely* not work with FTP over TLS. All explained in the Network Configuration Guide.
