multiple processes + ip range

#1 Post by cturbant » 2018-03-29 11:01

hi

i use the last version beta of the filezilla server 0.9.60 , locate behing router with nat

i have two questions :

- sometimes i have 4 or 5 process running in the same time on my FTP . is it usual ? to have 4 or 5

- only one server named ECHANGES have to access to my FTP server . ECHANGES IP public change sometimes but in the same network

i would like to autorize only this server on my FTP server . would it be possible to give a network like
184.94.125.0/20 for example instead of only one IP adresse in Tab name Passive mode settings .
i only use Use the following IP : one ip address

thanks you for your help

christophe

I don't quite understand you. Something must have been lost in translation. Could you please elaborate?

Yes, multiple connections are absolutely normal. For example, while transferring 4 files in parallel with FileZilla Client opens 5 connections to the server (1 browsing + 1 per open transfer).

Just enter it as CIDR notation (184.94.125.0/20), it's the only syntax supported for IP ranges.
