How do I know when my total transfer is finished?

#1 Post by erina » 2018-05-10 09:27

I am very new to FTP. Like as of today, new. So please bear with me.

My transfer was going for hours today and then I stepped away and when I came back it had stopped and said Disconnected from Server. Did it Disconnect because it was finished or did my connection fail?

Attached is the end of the message window. I am now sure if I should start all over.

Have a look at the transfer queue.

You mean the queued files fab at the bottom? There is nothing in there, but there is nothing in failed or successful transfers tab either.

Would it still show there if I closed the program and the opened it later on?

I ended up doing a directory comparison and these are the differences.

No, the contents of the failed and successful transfer tab are not preserved over restarts.

Small size differences in text file are the result of line ending conversion, see Data Type.

No idea, as you cleared the tab with possibly failed transfers. Please double check.

For potential missing transfers, just queue up everything again. Then, select "Skip" + "Always use this action" + "Apply to current queue only", when being asked about an Overwrite action. It will then skip over all existing files at the target.
