I am little bit confused setting up my server.
Should I set up my server in passive or active mode? I want to share data for short times
My Server is behind a router which I have configured so that the laptop with the port 21 in the network is free reachable.
Should I use ftp over TLS? I created a certificate at my Laptop!

That is not a thing for the server to decide. It is solely a client decision, the server must support both. However, only the Passive mode must be configured at the server side.Should I set up my server in passive or active mode?

Technically, not required. But, security-wise it's a must.Should I use ftp over TLS? I created a certificate at my Laptop!
