If anyone could help me setup a instance of filezilla server so that I can connect to it from another pc at home. I've tried following the guide on filezilla wiki but I still can't seem to connect to my server instance. the ports seems to forward fine, but the connection drops before it can really be established. Let me know what you need from me and I'll try to reply with that information.

If you transfer only in LAN, you do not need to configure any router. All you need to do is allowing all ports (listening + data port range) in the firewalls, and use the correct IP to connect (the LAN IP, not the public one).
