Permission changes

#1 Post by m2797 » 2019-06-02 18:45

The permission changes on the files are not saving even though I apply them and say ok. They are going back to the default settings.
Any help would be appreciated.
-Thanks

Please elaborate: Are you speaking of the FileZilla Server (FTP server) product, or the FileZilla (FTP client) one?

In case you are referring to the "File permissions..." dialog in FileZilla (for displaying changing remote permissions), be warned that it comes completely without any warranty.

The command used is "SITE CHMOD", which is
- not a standard and thus not an FRP command, and
- no server needs to even support this, many outright don't, and
- even with support, the outcome is unknown.

If that command works for your server, good. If it won't, nothing we can do. Check for red errors in the log pane, it might even state that the command is not supported.
No support requests over PM! You will NOT get any reply!!!
