Cannot proxy to site without password.

This one is interesting.
We use filezilla server purely as a proxy, which works very well. However, in the proxy settings I cannot find any combination that will allow me to connect to (for example) ftp.hp.com. The problem is the site does not want a username passed to it.
With the Filezilla client;
Using 'quick connect" & bypass proxy, you just fill in "ftp.hp.com", leave everything else blank - it will connect fine.
There seems to be no way to emulate that through the proxy, even if you set the site to anonymous it generates the string 'anonymous@ftp.hp.com', which is a username and therefore needs a password.
Anyone have any idea how to generate a proxied connection that does not add a username? None of the built-in proxy types will do it, and I have tried just about every possible custom configuration.

You could try sending a generic password. While any username needs a password, the "anonymous" username's password is not verified (the netiquette says you should send your Email address).

A string like "anonymous:foobar@ftp.hp.com" would at least satisfy that rule.

You are not. FileZilla Server cannot be used as proxy.
