IP Blocking by Range

#1 Post by Sebas » 2021-04-06 17:31

Good afternoon.
First of all I apologize for my English, my native language is Spanish.

I recently installed the Filezilla server for the first time and was able to configure it very easily, both for LAN connections and for connections from the Internet.
What I need and have not been able to configure is IP blocking by range. I have tried putting ranges like 180.217. * Or 180.217. *. * Or 180.217.0.0 - 180.217.255.255 but the IP Filter option does not allow me to enter any of that.

I know that there is the option to use only * to block all IPs and in turn separately configure certain IPs to which I allow access. But the field to allow access to certain IPS does not allow the use of ranges either.

My question then is if I am doing something wrong or if the Filezilla server does not allow the use of ranges.
From now on I appreciate that you have read me and hopefully you can help me with what I need.

Thank you.
Greetings,

Sebas

FileZilla Server does support IP range blocks. They have to be given in CIDR notation.

e. g. 180.217.*.* would be 180.217.0.0/16 in CIDR notation.
