If i install the updated version of the server, am i safe in assuming that the setting are not changed that could break the connections i already have?

There are no intentional changes nor deletions of any settings of yours. However, there are some things that have changed in the meantime. Study the version history between old and new version carefully. And, it's always advisable to make a backup of "FileZilla Server.xml" before doing the update.

And, just a guess, but, congratz for getting away from XP/Server 2003 Windows versions. 8)

Hi the community !

I have the same issue :
I have a 0.9.39b FZS on a Win2003 and have to move it to Win2012R2 with the latest version 0.9.60
The probem is that since 0.9.54 version, FZS stores passwords in form of salted SHA512 hashes. Importing a 0.9.39 xml file fail.

Is there a way to update keeping 0.9.39 xml file ?

Thanks for your feedback

Jerome

While the new versions use SHA512 by default they can still read the older version's data.
