How to enable a specific non-elevated user access to log files

#1 Post by zyoborgthegreat » 2021-09-25 23:49

Not sure if this is a bug or a feature :)

Running Filezilla server 1.0.1
Created a log folder testing at c:\temp\logs. Added my user as folder owner.
Logs created do not have an owner and can only be accessed by an elevated user.

The folder owner (me) does not have read access to the log files.

Logs do not have owner (probably since the service is running as Local System)

So, how do I allow a specific local user to have access to the log files?

Logs access is restricted to the user which FileZilla Server is running under, and any other account with administration capabilities, for security reasons.

It's not possible to change this.
