You mean you don't see any entries about this attempted connection in the server's logs? Could you use tools like wireshark to check whether any connection is actually being attempted for real?

I'm still struggling with this, I installed the latest nightly build on another system I have and I'm getting the same error. I rebooted the Filezilla FTP Server server thinking . . . I don't know what I was thinking. Anyway, when I try to connect via the client, it's not logging anything on the server side, and just coming back with the ECONNABORTED error.

From both workstations I can telnet into the ftp address and ftp port - it just gives me gibberish back - so it seems like I might have a problem on the client side.

If I don't enter a password in the box, it errors with the same error as with a password - so - how can I ensure that the server admin tools are reaching out to try to establish a connection? Right now it doesn't seem like anything is reaching out when I try to connect.

Since I'm running the most recently nightly build on the Admin tools - do I need to have the server side be updated to the nightly build as well? Will that impact anything with clients connecting in?

What have you configured as admin listen port during installation?

I'm using 14147 - I've got the same config on another machine and it's working. The only similarity is the newer Filezilla server (1.x) installs don't seem to want to connect to the 0.9x server install. i can't imagine that's the problem, right?

The administration protocol has changed completely. The GUI for 1.x cannot be used to administrate a 0.9.x server, and vice-versa.

Thank you for that - I thought I was losing my mind. Is there anywhere I can grab a 0.9.x Server install so I can get this one user squared away.

Then I can make plans to upgrade everything to 1.x.
