Variables\Path Substitution changed or no longers works?

#1 Post by sublimese » 2021-12-03 19:37

Long time user of FileZilla Server. Just upgraded from 96 to the latest. Having all sorts of issues. The current issue is that path variables are gone or changed (and not documented)?

For example, in 96 I had a path set up in a default group wherein the native path was: c:\inetpub\ftproot\:u The :u used to tell FileZilla to substitute the username for the :u (i.e. if "joe" logged in, this path would become: c:\inetpub\ftproot\joe") This is how I set all users home directories. However, after converting, this now gives the error "Native Path contains invalid characters"

Have these path substitutions been removed? If not, how do you use them now?

Thanks!

The functionality is already there, but as you discovered a recent security fix introduced a regression.

Will be fixed in the next release.

Thanks for reporting!
