Unable to understand how autoban works/how to get working

Hi there,

I upgraded to the latest Filezilla server (version1.1.0) and since then i cant seem to get autoban to work. This did work before I upgraded.

I have tried setting Ban IP Address After :2
If they Happen Within: 3599
The Ban Will Last: 3599

However in the log an IP is never banned. For example the log output is: (see screenshot).


How should I configure the autoban so that it works as desired?

This is funny, because I was discussing this with the team just a few minutes ago. You found a bug we just discovered. Currently autoban doesn't work across different sessions.

I want to use Autoban feature ,but have there been any denial of service attacks around the world yet?
I worry about the above points.
Also, I'm worried because I heard from Mr.Kosse in another topic that the Autoban feature consumes memory.

Had I better not use Autoban feature?

Do you use Autoban feature from now on?

I was reading about autoban and did't found something related to cases in somehow people became to exploit servers
So maybe there is a way to use autoban to lock out connections that have tried incorrect comand sintax several times like that
