FileZilla Server 1.2 on macOS
Hi,
Has anyone installed FileZilla Server 1.2 on macOS? Or is there any documentation about this?
I've googled it but not success.
Thank you.

Re: FileZilla Server 1.2 on macOS
There is no installer for macOS yet. You need to manually open (not launch) the application bundle and start the filezilla-server executable in the Contents/MacOS subdirectory.

Hi botg,
One more question, will FileZilla server supports macOS with M1 chip in the future?
Thank you.

At some point in the future we'll also offer versions compiled for Apple silicon. In the meantime, the regular x86 builds will work just fine due to Rosetta2.

Hi botg,
Yeah, I've confirmed that it can be run on macOS with M1 without any issues.
Thank you.

Re: FileZilla Server 1.2 on macOS
Hi botg,
I realized one more problem, seems FileZilla Server 1.3 on macOS doesn't support folder names with Asia characters(Chinese, Japanese).
But on Windows, it's no problem.
Do you know this issue?
Thank you.

Re: FileZilla Server 1.2 on macOS
In which way it "doesn't support folder names with Asia characters"? Is FileZilla Server unable to display them when listing a directory content, and if so what does it display? Or is it unable to access mountpoints whose names have those characters? Or what else?
Could you please post the server's log set to "5 - Debug"?

Re: FileZilla Server 1.2 on macOS
Hi oibaf,
It shows like this:
Command: CWD /Software/1
Response: 250 CWD command successful
Command: PWD
Response: 257 "/Software/1" is current directory.
Command: CWD ä¸ã¨ã£
Response: 550 Couldn't open the file or directory
Pardon my asking, where can I find the path of log files?
Thank you.

Re: FileZilla Server 1.2 on macOS
The log files can be found wherever you configure the server to put them. Look into the proper settings page for that.
May I ask you what client are you using to connect to the server?
