Empty folder upload and can not delete it

Hello,
I am running a FileZilla server on a Windows 10 Pro desktop.
I have a random problem that I can not solve.
I have some clients who upload onto the server a folder that is supposed to contain JPEGs in it.
The folder upload is empty and there are no JPEG photos in it.
When I try to delete the folder, I get an error message that says "could not find this item".
The only way to delete it, is to zip the folder with Winrar, and select the option "delete files after archiving"
This empty folder problem has only occured a few times, but I did notice that it only happens from clients using a Mac computer (FileZilla client).
This problem does not always occure, and these very same clients have successfully uploaded other files onto my server.
Has anyone ever encountered this problem, and is there a solution for it?
