WSAEADDRNOTAVAIL when trying to connect from Admin interface.

#1 Post by Calab » 2022-04-03 03:06

I just downloaded and installed Filezilla Server onto my Windows 10 Pro PC. For some reason I cannot connect to the server from the administration interface.

The error that appears is:

Client failed connection. Reason WSAEADDRNOTAVAIL - Cannot assign requested address.

I have no idea what this means, and cannot find anything by searching online.

Firewall on this computer is completely disabled. I can reach the FTP server from other PC's on my LAN, but can't log in because I haven't been able to create any users on the server yet.

Any suggestions as to what might be wrong? Where should I start looking?

Attached screenshot shows the error, and a portion of my log file.

Can you access 127.0.0.1 in the OS (ping etc.)? That error could mean that localhost is broken.

Most likely a local firewall is interfering with the connection.

I removed and re-added the server and that fixed this for me
