Random IDS showing up on server Hacks

#1 Post by Dredlock1 » 2022-05-12 02:34

I was doing some testing of my filezilla .96 server and noticed some random IDs with IPs showing up on my server status window.

Same two ips just randomly pop up as if they are trying to log in but under account it says (No logged in)

Like in these two screen shots

Anyone know what that means?

I blocked and banned the IPs. One was from China. So is this some random guy/bot scanning port 21s looking for FTPs to hack into?
They connect for like 1 minute then disconnect then soon reconnect. Are they brute force checking passwords?

Welcome to the Internet. There are millions of rogue systems out there that randomly or systematically connect to your arbitrary addresses. Setup a long password and you can safely ignore such connection.

And upgrade your server, the old 0.x line is dead and relies on a vulnerable OpenSSL.
