There is no 0.90 version, probably you mean 0.9.60?

If the old FileZilla Server 0.9.60 was properly installed by the official installer program (in which case the install path information in the registry is present), then simply install the new 1.6.1 Server and it will do a one-time migration of all your old data (there might be some things no longer supported, though).

If you converted manually and have the new settings file already, you still need to move it to the new config location in ProgramData\filezilla-server).
No support requests over PM! You will NOT get any reply!!!

I was dealing with the same problem. Since version 1.4, the conversion does not work. Neither automatic nor manual. My recommended procedure is to install version 1.1 on version 0.9x. It will perform an automatic conversion, but without a description. The author implemented descriptions in later versions. Then update to the latest version (1.6.x and higher).

It took me many hours to come up with this combination.

Version 1.1 can be found for example here: https://www.filehorse.com/download-file ... /download/
After the conversion, I recommend upgrade to the latest version.

If you require the prohibition of deleting files, and you only want to upload and append files, version 1.x cannot do this, unlike version 0.9x.

Not true, since version 1.4 the conversion does not work. Both manual and automatic. By gradually reducing the versions released so far, only version 1.1 was caught, where the conversion went through. And I've done a lot of upgrades from 0.9.x this year, which is why I'm writing this. (Unfortunately, someone wanted to stay on version 0.9x precisely because of the lack of an option to disable file deletion, which cannot be set in version 1.x.)

Hi Everyone,

I was having the same issue but then searched and found previous builds. I was successfully able to go from 0.9.6 to 1.0.1, then to 1.3.0, then to 1.4.1. However, I cannot go to 1.5.0 because none of the users are migrated at all and I did try 1.6.1 as well, same results. Any suggestions on how to proceed at this point? I would like to get to 1.6.1, which is the most current release.

Thank you,
Chad
