Virtual Path

#1 Post by ZiggyStardust32 » 2023-01-07 20:22

I am sorry for being so slow. I have read a million threads about how to set the "Virtual Path" and it is still unclear. The client connect but times out retrieving directory listing. Anyway...

It is a Windows Server. The folder is D:\FTPSite. It is not shared. So what do I put in for a "Virtual Path"?

Depends on how you want the directory to be represented in the virtual directory tree (what you see when you connect). If you want that directory to be the user's Home (root) directory, simply put / (single slash) as virtual path. If it should appear as a virtual subdirectory xyz, just write /xyz and so on.

If it times out when doing a directory listing, most likely the issue is that a firewall is blocking the data connection on the chosen port range.
