Is not a bug, but the normal way to function of OS: it's a recurrent problem with computers which have multiple network interface.
Imagine a room with a door and a window: the network interface with the gateway is the door, and the other interface is a door.
You see your friend by the window (first connection), and you go out by the door to say him "hello" (data connection).
On linux, there is some tuning to force OS to force to use the same network interface.
ex: https://access.redhat.com/solutions/53031
But you are on windows...
Maybe can you try to change the network metric:

Re: Error opening Data channel...
I am very thankful for your hints!
The Screenshot shows the Server NIC's here.
The Clients are two totally different machines.
Source Client is a big production SAN with fibrechannel and StorNext Filesystem and the Destination Client is a spectrum Videoserver with proprietary Drivers and OS. Kind of Linux I guess..
The spectrum has four NIC's
Could you say which client has the problem?
Should be the spectrum then, right?
Thx

Re: Error opening Data channel...
Well, the client that is getting the error is the one having the problem.
