ALL User and PW Daten are lost

Hello good day
I don't know how but all user login information is currently lost on the server.
We created a new TLS certifkat and the users were gone for whatever reason,
how can I restore this data now,
at least for my File Zila client I loaded the deeds and they should still work, or where else should they be?
I have no clue somehow

Changing a certificate doesn't wipe out user data.

I have taken over this from my predecessor
no idea why that happened exactly now
where are these normally stored?

In this very outdated and unsupported version the user data was stored in FileZilla Server.xml located in the same directory as the executable.

I have an XML from my predecessor which is called

FileZilla_Settings Server.xml

if I copy this in no matter if I rename this to FileZilla Server.xml

nothing happens.

I am currently really at a loss with my knowledge

The file is only read in when the server service starts. Try stopping the server, then place the file, then restart the server service.
