Hello,
I recently installed FileZilla Server version 1.7.2 on a Windows 2016 Server. I'm able to connect to it from another computer on the network via FileZilla client and using SFTP and see the local drives. On the server, there are mapped network drives on another computer on the same network which, in Windows File Explorer I'm able to read and write to. However, those mapped network drives don't show up when viewing the directories of the server through the FZ client. There is no AD, all computers using HomeGroup domain. I've tried mapping the drives with UNC as well as IP address but still doesn't show up in FileZilla. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Windows Desktop A (where the drives are located)
Windows Server (Where FileZilla Server is installed and has mapped drives to Windows Desktop A in File Explorer)
Windows Desktop B (Where FileZilla client is installed and connecting via SFTP to FileZilla Server)
Thank you
FileZilla Server 1.7.2 won't recognize mapped network drives

Re: FileZilla Server 1.7.2 won't recognize mapped network drives
Quite outdated.
On a modern Windows version, the reason why mapped resources are inaccessible is session isolation. Different Windows accounts run in different sessions. Even for the same user, desktop and services run in different sessions.
In a future version of FileZilla Server you may be able to directly specify usernames and passwords for UNC shares, such that the server service itself can access them.
For the time being, just run the FTP server directly on the machine hosting the network share. You could also use a global mapping, but I don't know the security implications of that.

I removed its Sticky status, and will no longer refer to it.
