Connection problem after moving server

#1 Post by jeremypoynton » 2023-09-11 11:14

Hi again.

Moved my database and server to a Windows 11 machine this morning. Imported config, and server is running fine.

Changed the IP address for my Win10 PC from the server IP address to another. Changed the IP address on the W11 machine to the Server IP address

Rebooted router.

Can't connect from other PCs in the house (have asked remote users to try, no response yet)

When I check my ethernet properties (just one of the two cards in use), and close the window, I get this message
tcpip.png

Now we are not all networking people here. I have no idea a) what this is about or b) how to solve it.

Help!

Thanks in advance

Yes. The Grateful Dead, and the bands that have followed them since the death of Jerry Garcia in 1995, have allowed - indeed, encouraged, the taping and sharing of their shows.

See these sites

Many other bands have followed his route. Indeed, way back, the Dead demanded that venues provided a "taper's area" neat the soundboard, for this very purpose. And in one show in the early 70s. Bob Weir, their rhythm guitarist can be heard telling a taper that he'd get a much better sound if he moved 40 feet back.

This approach has meant that millions - yes millions - of us not only have libraries of their shows, but that we also buy the remastered shows the band releases. I have some hundreds. So as a business model, it was unique, and despite allowing taping, earned the band a fortune.

At 72, I've been into the Dead since I was 15... as Bill Graham the concert impresario noted

"The Grateful Dead are not only the best at what they do - they are the ONLY ones who do what they do"

Amen to that

Have a good day.
