Could you please provide a complete log showing the error?

Please elaborate, what do you mean by "Reconnect to the transferd file"?

When the transfer stops, what does the client say? Does the server send any reasons for that?

There must be something in the log about the interrupted transfer, before you restart it.

Can you please paste the log here?

Which filesystem are you using on the server to store the file on?

Could the filesystem have an error? Try checking it for errors: Right-click drive letter in Explorer, click Properties, and on the Tools tab, click the Check button.

Maybe the disk itself has a bad sector or something? Try running a long S.M.A.R.T. self-test. No idea how to do that on Windows though, I just boot into Linux for it and use the smartctl command.

No sorry, the server is running on VMWARE 7 HA on a HOST VMFS 6.82 HA Storage. An error on this filesystem would be known. On this filesystem are running more then 100 virtuell HOST's without any problem.
It makes no difference, running the filezilla server on a local based NTFS Partition with a local disk or on a ISCSI Based Partition with NTFS. Error is the same.
Partionblocks are formated with windows standard (512B Sector and 4KB Cluster)

It'd be necessary to look at the log of the server. Can you please set its level to "5 - Debug" and attach the log here after replicated the issue? Thanks.

I could reproduce the very same error by limiting the space on the filesystem.

Is it possible the space on the destination filesystem has been exhausted, or that there's a quota active?

In the log, the part where the file transfer was interrupted for the first time is missing, there are only attempts at restarting the transfer.

The transfer has been interrupted at byte 194733456886, that is at about 18GiB.

It'd be important to see the log of the moment the transfer has failed the first time.
It's important for you to know that "error 5" is an I/O error, which, according to the log, is happening when the file is being written to the filesystem.

That's what the diagnostic says. If you can provide us with the log of the moment the transfer fails the first time, we could try to make a better assessment.

ok, a log at this time isn't available any more. The only thing is, that the filesystem at this time was very busy and the connection was broken.
But this was not my question. Problem is, if i reconnect to the same file, there is no way to continue. I must restart the file from the beginning.

Most likely for the same reasons that made the "filesystem very busy" to begin with (whatever you mean with that).

As said, there's been a I/O error, hence why I asked for more logs. We know how the program works internally, hence we have precise reasons to ask for what we ask for.
