ECONNREFUSED After Updating to V1.8.0

Hello,

I've just upgraded my FileZilla Server to V1.8.0 using the built-in update process and now when attempting to log into the Administration Interface, it appears that I cannot connect to it with the following error:

<12/17/2023 01:59:52> Admin UI [Error] Failed connection to server 127.0.0.1:14148. Reason: ECONNREFUSED - Connection refused by server.

I used all of the default options in the installer when applying the update and tried restarting the FileZilla service on the machine.

Is this a known issue and what is the resolution for this?

Is the "filezilla-server.exe" service alive and running?

Thanks for the reply...I see that as a process when I look in Task Manager but there is a service called filezilla-server that's running in Services.

@tech2112@posteo.us, did you fix the problem?

I encountered the same issue today after updating from 17.3 to 18
Then I downgraded back to 17.3 and now that version won't work either.

@ftpdummie I haven't...I'm still able to login to the FTP and up/download with no issues. I was going to try completely uninstalling after saving the XML file and then re-install when I have the chance.

@ftpdummie So, doing a thorough uninstall of FileZilla Server using Revo Uninstaller, then reinstalling it did the trick for me. I just had to update the FileZilla Server.xml file (C:\Program Files (x86)\FileZilla Server) with the port number for the admin console as well as the password used during the install and then it logged me right in. Since my router was already configured, I was able to test everything and it's all good!

FileZilla Server.xml is used by old versions of FileZilla Server, which are not supported anymore.
No support requests over PM! You will NOT get any reply!!!
