1.8.2 installation issue

v1.8.2 installer gives me an error that the configuration directory is not owned by the right owner.

Win10. Owner of c:\program data\filezilla-server is SYSTEM as suggested.

Exact error message:

There are issues with the configuration folder, cannot proceed. Fix the following issues and restart the installation.

The directory "C:\ProgramData\filezilla-server" must be owned by user "SYSTEM" or a user with administration privileges.

I have verified that the owner of the specified directory is SYSTEM. I have tried rebooting the computer.

This might sound obnoxious, but I'd really need to see with my own eyes what does Windows say about the ownership of the folder.

Can you please post a screenshot of the advanced security property window of the folder?

Right click on the filezilla-server folder, then select "Properties", and then
1. click on "Security", then
2. click on "Advanced", then
3. take note of the "Owner" at the top of the just opened window.

As in the screenshot below:

That is puzzling. We're investigating, but I suspect some OS system call might be failing for reasons I don't know at the moment. You are the only one reporting this issue so far.

We've added more logging to the procedure that verifies the directory ownership, to try and catch your issue (and potential others).

Could you please try next nightly build? If the problem still persist, you should see in the installer log window, at the bottom, more detailed info about what went wrong.

I went to the nightly build download page for Filezilla Server, and the nightly build for 5/14 says it failed and I can't download (it's in red on the web page).

I'll check again tomorrow.

Okay, thank you. I downloaded and ran the installer. It gets the same problem as previously seen.

I couldn't find the installer log. Where is it? If you meant just the window the installer displays, here it is:

Tried, the error is the same.

After the failure the FTP server (1.8.1 originally) is dead. Since I didn't back up the installer of that version, I installed 1.7.3 instead.
Where can I get 1.8.1 installer?
