Slow Internal Transfers

Hi everyone,

Suffering from a weird thing here. I mainly use FZ to do some internal transfers - sharing files between PCs and Macs are still a pain. I used to have a Belkin F5D7230-4 router, and while my download speeds from the server were ok (3MBps), my uploads were a paltry 512kBps or so.

Now, I use a Linksys WRT54GS router, and I have a different sort of problem. My upload speeds to the server increased dramatically (up to 3.5MBps), but my download speeds from the server have slowed down to ~200kBps, which makes large file transfers unbearable. Tried a few other spots and tweaking router settings to no avail.

Is there anyone that can provide me with some hints?

Thanks.

Client's download speed = Server's upload speed. DSL is asymmetric. DSL upload is normally lower than download.

That should be irrelavent. 1. I'm on cable. 2. This is an internal network anyway. I'm transferring from 192.168.2.101 to 192.168.2.102 - my external upload speed should not matter at all!

I'd try uninstalling all firewalls and virus scanners.

Just tried :/ No go. Definitely don't want to go wipe the machine altogether and try....
