Cannot Retrieve Any Directory other than the Set HOME dir

Hi guys. I am happy to see such a useful free software Like Filezilla
I just happened to try the server for the very first time and have been experiencing a problem.

I create a Username without any password and add a list of directories to share.

I have not created any group.

But when tried to connect only the Directory set as the Home directory is visible in the list.( That is my D:\)
And I have selected the List and Subdir options too.


I hope someone can help me with what step am I doing wrong.

I need to create around 40 Usernames which have one folder in common and their personal folders.
For example : """C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\My Documents""" will be common for all usernames and """D:\Anit OR D:\Sameer OR E:\Backup\Tanvi""""" all different folders according to their usernames.

it works now

though i am facing another problem

I cannot share more than one folder by putting /myalias
It shows 2 folders by the name myalias but i can only access one(Both the folders are in different drives)

Is there any way i can change the name according to my preference instead of it showing myalias

BIG EDIT: I got it to work. How dumb of me instead of putting ""/E Drive"" or ""/{FolderName}"" I was literally putting the word ""myalias""

Yeah /myalias is only an example.

some competitive FTP-servers can use equivalent alias (for Windows-directories)

but FileZilla must have different aliases

FileZilla absolutely can use aliases with the same name. The problem here is that an alias has to abide by the naming conventions for directories. That means no colon character. You can't have an alias "d:" or "e:" because they're not valid.

And FZ Server does not support directory merging (merging the contents of two folders by giving them the same alias).
