We are using 9.27 server and have a consistent problem that happens almost everyday. The cpu will jump to 100% and the will be a user connected to the server that isn't doing anything based on what the log says. If I kick the user the cpu goes back down.
It is like the software stops disconnecting clients for inactivity and it gets hung up. When this happens if there are sometimes other users that should be disconnected, they also don't get disconnected. As soon as I kick the culprit all the others get disconnected instantly.
The particular user it happens with simply logs in and uploads a file and they don't disconnect properly, and I guess the server messes up when it should auto-disconnect. Here is the log. Other thing I notice is they may log in, send a file and not log out, and then log in a SECOND time and send the same file again and not log out that time either. Maybe that has something to do with it.
