Samsug Galaxy smartphone file transfer

#1 Post by lmfzor » 2013-07-24 06:57

I was looking for a Mobilezilla.

Can any one at the Filezilla org DEVELOP a "Filezilla look and feel" file transfer tool for a smart phone.
The smart phones them selves are of incredibly high technology devices,
but the file transfer tools do not do credit for them.
The file transfer tools supported by the provider are incredibly clumsy and unintuitive like.
the Kies for Samsung Galaxy and
the Zune for Nokia Lumia.
I mean no offense for Samsung and Nokia, I just think the consumers deserve something better.
And I think the Filezilla org guys have the experience to know what file transfer is all about.

The problem with Android, iOS and other "mobile" operating systems is their walled-garden approach. Unless one can install software without jailbreaking a device or disabling a bunch of so-called security features to get rid of the mandatory app store, then no, I'm not going to create software for such devices.

It would be great if Filezilla developed such a technology. Honestly, this kind of tool is a must for now. There are a couple of well-known ones.[...]
