hello.
I want to login to a FTP site that needs a SSH / public ssh key. i've used this in the past on a LINUX machine but now on a WIN 8 machine with Filezilla
https://wiki.filezilla-project.org/Howto
From my various searches - I have found this wiki page entitled "HOWTO" (how to what ? - it may need to be renamed to a better page name).
A few questions:-
- Where do i save my public / private keys ? does that matter ?
- how do i import/use the public/private keys (which one ?)
- Also, is there an example of how to log into a website using this method (step by step..)
public ssh key

Re: public ssh key
Store the private key in a private place no other person has access to. The public key you can store everywhere and broadcast to the world if you wish.
Re: public ssh key
You can import the key into FileZilla (Settings). Alternatively you can use Pageant from the PuTTY suite.
