Simply install the new version over the old one. Note that a few old features have been deprecated and removed since then, read the version history for details and whether it might affect you.

0.9.31 sounds like the Server, so:

1. Upgrade to a supported Operating System (Vista or higher). Any supported FileZilla products do not run on XP or lower.
2. Update the Server to 0.9.53 (at time of this post). Do what botg posted, regarding changed and deprecated features.

Yes it is server S/W I am using. If I do upgrade to a newer O/S and supported version of fz how can I move over all my customers folder that they FTP too and all the user names and passwords?

It should suffice to copy FileZilla Server.xml while the server service isn't running.

Will that copy over everything? All user names passwords and folders? I need to really copy over everything as I do not want to have to recreate anything if possible

Usernames, password hashes (passwords itself are not stored), configuration for accounts and all server settings. FileZilla Server does not save settings anywhere else.

Of course that doesn't apply to the physical resources (the actual directories and files on disk) itself.

So if I purchase a new windows device and install fz server on it how can I move my existing fz info to the new device or do I have to recreate all the accounts and folders again?

Always install the latest version (0.9.60.2 currently).

To (again) re-quote @botg:

Discover changes between your version and the latest (quite a lot for you to read): https://filezilla-project.org/versions.php?type=server
Needless to say that running such an old, vulnerable version for such a long time is borderline criminal (if Internet-accessible).

Hi,
I have a version 0.9.60 Beta of Server. I downloaded latest version 0.9.60.2 and install it, but it still is 0.90.60 Beta
Any help, please:)

That is correct. The only change between 0.9.60 and 0.9.60.2 is a security fix for the installer. The server itself is still the same 0.9.60, so the .2 isn't reflected in the server interface.
0.9.60.2 (2017-02-08)
Bugfixes and minor changes:

Signed binaries, no functional changes over 0.60.0

I installed Filezilla server ver 0.9.60.2 on Windows 10 PC. How can I take all the settings and user info of shared files from older ver 0.9.31 and move it to the newer version so I do not have to manually re enter all the user info and settings again?
