Supress 'Transfer:Complete' Notifications

#1 Post by Jeckstart » 2016-02-06 10:38

Hi
After I updated to this new version, I get popup notification in the bottom of screen that says "File Transfer Complete" every single time I copy a file, which is well, lets say 'annoying'. But there is no setting to disable them (well at least I didn't find one, looked through all the interface though  )

Right now I have to disable all Filezilla tray notifications through Win7 Control Panel, but hey this isn't right solution since I will surely miss the important ones too

Any advice how to turn them off?
Help please :D

If you manually edit %APPDATA%/FileZilla/filezilla.xml you can set the "Show notification bubbles" setting to 0.

Thanks, I did, seems to work!
But (if I understand correctly from setting name :) ) it turns down all notifications? Or there are no notifications except 'Transfer:Complete' in program anyway? :D

I did search it and could not find it... also it would be nice to have this in the program options.

This new notification feature is annoying when you need to upload a file to several different directories, you have to listen to the Windows 10 notification noise several times in a row.

Why is there no UI settings toggle for this?

Edit: I see that right-clicking the transfer queue window provides a toggle.

Maybe I'm imagining things, but I thought when the notification was first introduced, it only did it when FileZilla was in the background... nowadays it does it regardless. It would be great if it could work that way (again), is this possible?

I did that but I still get the bubbles and its annoying the shit out of me! Why is that? Whose brilliant idea was to add this OBNOXIOUS feature anyway?

You did what? This topic is outdated, you can now select the desired action in the Queue context menu.

hello

that "Show notification bubbles" option doesn't work on windows 7

also i don't want to disable it from the windows settings since my setup is to keep showing everything that happens in the systray

but that bubble is really unnecessary

any help?

Again, this topic is outdated. The notification options can now be set or unset in the Queue context menu (right-click).

Closing now.
