Drag & drop, password retention issues with Mac client only?

Hey all, I am having two issues with filezilla for Mac.

Drag and drop download operations don't work (upload does). Using the download/upload buttons local panes works both ways.

I also have it set to remember my password, which it does when I first connect, but every upload/download operation it prompts for the password again.

We've tested the same FTP account on PC and it works without issue. Our FTP guys tell us it's a filezilla problem, desktop support guys tell us it's a MacOs bug/problem.

Any suggestions on what else I might try to resolve please? It's really slowing me down. Latest version of FZ installed.

Where do you drop the files to when trying to download?

I was trying to drag them to the desktop, also tried to a folder, and tried right-click download. None of these worked.

Dragging outside of FileZilla is not possible on platforms other than Windows. It's a technical limitation of these operating systems.

Nonsense! In the Mac's built-in Preview application, one can drag an image directly onto the desktop and have it land there as a file. In Mail, one can drag a message to the desktop and have it appear there is a file. This is an EXCEEDINGLY desirable feature, please learn how they do it and do likewise!

In these cases the file already exists locally.

I can not drag and drop any files from Filezilla to desktop.

Filezilla : version 3.38.1

Is it also technical limitation ??

As far as I remember, it was possible.
For example, in version 3.37.0

Desktop = outside of FileZilla. Dragging to the outside of FileZilla is possible only in Windows (through a Shell Extension).

Note:

By downgrading to Version 3.37.0,
I can now drag to the outside of FileZilla.
(macOS : Mojave)

Also just updated FZ and can no longer drag-and-drop into applications in the Dock. This was definitely possible in earlier versions. Pretty frustrating...
