Questions about sitemanager xml

#1 Post by compass » 2018-11-10 10:08

Hi there,

My task is to generate file sitemanager.xml with another program and then use it. I have FileZilla client installed on Windows 7 and the file sitemanager.xml will be generated on a Linux server.

1. Is there any way to change sitemanager.xml location? Can it be on a remote machine? I need the simplest and fastest way to use this generated file with 1 click or less.
2. How can I encrypt plain passwords to make them readable by FileZilla? Now all of them has the same pubkey and starts from the same string followed by "/".

Thank you in advance for your answers!

Yes, see fzdefaults.xml.example
Can it be on a remote machine?
No, that results in corruption of the files due to lack of cross-machine mutexes.

Yes, see fzdefaults.xml.example
Thank you, I did it, but now every time I open any of my websites, FileZilla asking me about it SSL certificate and checkbox "trust in the future..." is disabled. When sitemanager.xml was in Roaming directory I could check this checkbox, but now it's not possible. Any idea?

Most probably coincidence. If you cannot trust a TLS cert permanently, there's something wrong with it. If it worked earlier and now not, maybe it's simply expired? The dialog box will tell you (in red).

Alternative explanation: What else have you changed through fzdefaults.xml?
