SOLVED Accessing NAS drive over WAN - Very slow 180B/s using new router?

Hi All,
I have searched high and low and can not find an answer to my problem.

I replaced a Netgear router in an office with an ASUS DSL-AC68U, the Netgear had a NAS drive attached to it on ftp port 1024 private IP of 192.168.0.55 with passive ports 1024:1040. All worked perfectly under the Netgear... Uploads, downloads etc no issues.
I have set the port forwarding on the DSL-AC68U to match, all is good for uploads over WAN and LAN, super quick, I'm uploading to the NAS over WAN from fiber at 21Mbs upload speed and the NAS drive should be receiving at roughly 17Mbs on the other side.So that works perfectly, Good start!

Now the problem comes when I try to download from the NAS drive via WAN, I get very very slow download speeds, in fact around 180B/s if I'm lucky. I have FileZilla set to passive mode, If I set to active mode it won't connect at all. Here's the odd thing, on my Android tablet I use Andftp Pro, this has no issues, downloads as normal, the upload speed of the NAS ISP is roughly less than 2Mbs so I don't expect blisteringly quick transfers but why is FileZilla struggling on the download when my Andftp Pro performs as normal?

I've drawn a complete blank now, but it keeps going through unroutable motions even though we the passive ports, 145,894 bytes took...15 minutes, started to feel like I'm back on Dialup

Command: PASV
Response: 227 Entering Passive Mode (192,168,0,55,4,4).
Status: Server sent passive reply with unroutable address. Using server address instead.
Command: REST 136488
Response: 350 Restarting at 136488. Send STORE or RETRIEVE to initiate transfer
Command: RETR expedition_kit_list.pdf

Thanks in advanced

Ian
