Sorry that this is my first post, but I really need help
I also don't know what I am doing and would really benefit from lay-mans terminology if at all possible
There is a new version of FileZilla, 3.40 that I keep trying to update to and it isn't working and I am not too sure what I am doing wrong
I download it, it gives me a zip file
FileZilla_3.40.0_macosx-x86.app.tar.bz2
I unzip it, get FileZilla_3.40.0_macosx-x86.app.tar
unzip that, it gives me the app, but says the application can't be opened
Don't know what it going on
Plus recently updated to cable internet, max speeds 75Mbps and above, and when I download using FileZilla, still getting max 400KiB/s
Can anyone please help
Running
MacOS Mojave
iMac Retina 5K 27 inch 2015
3.3GHz Intel Core i5
16GB 1600 MHz DDR3
AMD Radeon R9 M395 2048 MB
Also live in Australia if that helps

That's an odd two-step process to extract the archive. Which program are you using?

WinZip for mac
Re: FileZilla Mac Noob Speeds
It looks like WinZip is damaging the application bundle.
Please use the built-in functionality in MacOS to extract the archive.
