Hi,
In my FileZilla Server I have an anonymous user without password and three users with password. The issue comes when I try to connect to the FTP server through Google Chrome, so it always connects to the server as anonymous and I have also tried to put this url: ftp://username:password@server_ip_address but it automatically connects as anonymous too.
I have tried to delete the anonymous user in the Server and then Google Chrome asks for a user/password.
I do not understand what I'm doing wrongfully.
Thank you in advance!
Google Chrome does not ask for an username/password when I have the anonymous user

Try using a dedicated FTP client, the web browser implementations are just terrible, them being web browsers after all.

Thanks, with FileZilla Client works well but I was asked to use a web browser too because it's some homework I'm doing from school. I have also asked my teacher and he has told me that it usually happens. So, I guess there isn't a way to get it to work, right?

I can't speak for all browsers, but at least for a dedicated FTP client like FileZilla the user is in full control whether to use anonymous logon or a regular account on the server.
