unable to connect

I am in a new position and this software is what has been used to move our training videos from captivate to our departments webpage. I do not have the information I need to get this software to connect apparently. The person who had this position previously did not leave any instruction what so ever. I do have the user name but nothing else. Could you help me get this going? I really need to get moving on the videos.

You need to contact your server administrator or server hosting provider to inquire about your login credentials.

My server provider? Do you mean someone that runs the server for my company? I would not think anyone in my company would know anything about this software that is used in my department. This is not a company wide use.

The people hosting the FTP server. The credentials are stored in the FTP server software. They must either reveal or change the login data (they probably will do only the latter).

I guess I thought this was the FileZilla people on here, I was hoping they would let me reset my sign on. This is the only way it shows we can contact them, there is no phone number listed.

How do I find this department? This forum is where it sent me to get assistance.

FileZilla is merely the tool you are using.

We don't know anything about which servers you are trying to connect to or who is operating those servers.

I meant the sign on for FileZilla. Wouldn't that be FileZilla people. It just keeps saying can't connect.

You don't sign on to FileZilla, it is merely the tool you use to connect to any server of your choice, it is those servers you need credentials for and you get them from the respective server administrators or server hosting providers.

I am sorry! Of course I called the IT people first and they were unable to assist me. It isn't that I don't understand its a tool, like excel or adobe or captivate software. I just do not understand where the problem stems from that will not accept my credentials and also will not connect to the server. I apologize for taking up so much of your time, I really did try my IT department first. I will try it again. Thanks again for your help. Have a good day!

We don't provide any services and we don't operate any FTP server. Thus, we can neither provide nor reset any login data. We simply can't because it's not us retaining that data.

Asking the financial dept. should reveal some information. Hosting services in companies are usually paid for. They must pay some company for hosting the web page. Either that, or your company is hosting that page directly. But in the latter case, the IT must know about that if they are worth any of the money they get paid.
