Total # of bytes used in a server

#1 Post by morrisdan1 » 2019-04-01 19:11

Hi,

When I first connect to the server, I see some bytes info on the right bottom of Filezilla screen saying Total size: 773,827 bytes.

Is that an indication that the whole server uses up 773,827 bytes?

Cause my client and I are wondering if we'd be able to store all the files from the above server within Google Cloud that uses up to 15 GB for free?

Please advise. Thanks.

It's the content of the currently displayed directory, not including subdirectories.

Ok, is there a quicker way to figure out the total, rather than doing the math, adding one subdirectory at a time?

Thanks again!

Use the search feature (menu Server - Search remote files), enter no search criteria, press Search, and then wait.

Does the total number of bytes from the remote search also include the main directory as mentioned in the op?

If starting search from / (the root), it should be included.
