Server service loses login password after reboot

#1 Post by JimTeqhou » 2019-05-17 08:24

FileZilla FTP Server runs fine, on my Windows Server 2008 R2 machine.

Excellent product, thanks!

However, whenever the host machine is rebooted, after Windows Updates usually, the FileZilla FTP Server service cannot start, due to a login failure.

It would seem that the service loses its login password.

If I go into Services, and re-enter the password, the system reports that the service has been granted "logon as a service rights", and FileZilla FTP server service runs normally again until the next reboot.

I accept that this is probably not a FileZilla fault, more likely something in Windows Server 2008, but I don't know where else to look for help!

Anyone know where I should be looking?

Must be a Windows thing. The FileZilla Server service doesn't modify its own settings on startup or shutdown.
