FileZilla Pro: Ceph S3 support?

#1 Post by Platzii » 2019-07-10 13:27

Hi

First of all I would like to apologize for asking this question in this forum and not in the customer forum at https://customerforum.filezilla-project.org/.
Because I ordered my version of FileZilla Pro using the App Store I do not have an order ID and can't register on that forum.

As for my question:
I have a Ceph cluster setup with the Object Gateway (RadosGW) enabled (http://docs.ceph.com/docs/nautilus/radosgw/).
This is compatible with both S3 and SWIFT protocols.

I've noticed in FileZilla Pro that, when I try to make a connection to that cluster using S3, it fully ignores the "Host"-field and tries to connect to the Amazon S3 endpoint instead.

I guess this is not the expected behaviour?
Could someone confirm this is indeed an issue?

Kind regards
Simon

In order to use a custom S3 provider you need to configure its regions and endpoints in the settings dialog.
