Extremely slow download speeds on new version?!
Tech Support
Encountering a new problem. I have a 300 mbps cable connection, and a 3 meg download is taking MINUTES, not seconds.
Here's a video of the problem, hope you can help.

Re: Extremely slow download speeds on new version?!
It appears you are downloading to a location that is manged by a cloud synchronization program.
Please try downloading to a plain, regular, old, local directory.

Re: Extremely slow download speeds on new version?!
No, I am downloading to my local machine, from a remote site.
I tested last night from 8 different remote sites, all show the same result. (This is a mix of HostGator, AWS Lightsail, FlyWheel, GoDaddy hosting) - all to my local machine.
I rolled back to various versions of Filezilla testing each of the 8 sites shown above and found that version 3.23.0.2 doesn't have the same issue (so I will be staying on this until I hear it's not an issue any more), but does have an small error that pops up when I start Filezilla. Since it doesn't affect my downloads, I am overlooking the error (see below)
---------------------------
Error saving queue
---------------------------
An error occurred saving the transfer queue to "C:\Users\Cenay\AppData\Roaming\FileZilla\queue.sqlite3".
Some queue items might not have been saved.
---------------------------
OK

Download to a local directory that is not managed by Dropbox.

Another test -- showing good speeds on a previous version, going to my Dropbox folders from a HostGator remote site.

Re: Extremely slow download speeds on new version?!
Cannot reproduce. There are no functional changes between the current and the previous version that could possibly cause such speed differences.
Are you by chance using some faulty firewall or AV product that slows down the new version?

Re: Extremely slow download speeds on new version?!
The two tests are using the exact same firewall and setup. So, I don't know what to tell you.
Re: Extremely slow download speeds on new version?!
If you do these tests, please make sure to actually connect to the same server. In the slow case, you have been connecting to a remote server over the Internet, in the fast case you have been connecting to a server in your LAN, with a different protocol on top of it.

Re: Extremely slow download speeds on new version?!
I am not connecting in any of the videos to a server on my LAN. All connections are to outside remote sites. Some are host gator, some are lightsail. Lightsail does require a SFTP protocol, where the rest are FTP.
So, it's been 10 days. Do you have anything to offer in the way of actual help?
