Uploading .pdf files

#1 Post by wileyfox01 » 2019-09-10 15:18

I can't upload .pdf files through FileZilla.
Web site [not important in this context]

They start the transmission, show 100% sent, same file amount as that sent.
Then sit there until it times out.
It doesn't want to close the transaction.

When I try to open it on line, it shows a corrupt file.
Opens fine in my machine's files.

What happens if you upload other files of similar size?

Most of my files are simple txt files. Some HTML.
They load normally.
I have uploaded others - Mb's.

These .pdf's are only 44,000 bytes (44Kb).
They appear to upload in a few seconds, then nothing.
No closing of transmission.

I should note that this only began 4-6 weeks ago.
Prior to that I uploaded similar files regularly with no problems.

At least for FileZilla all files are the same, it doesn't care whether a file is a PDF, an image or anything else.

Could your server administrator or server hosting provider configured something on the server that post-processes PDF files?
