Nightly Development Version.

I just downloaded and installed a fresh FileZilla Client from the page shown below, and it says I have downloaded the Nightly Development Version.

I am using Windows 10 64 bit. Not sure why it is saying this "You are using a nightly development version of FileZilla 3, do not expect anything to work. Please use the official releases instead."

Unless you downloaded from the Nightly page (https://filezilla-project.org/nightly.php), there's no way you could downloaded a nightly build.

Please check your FileZilla settings, under Updates, the "When checking for updates, check for:" option should be set to "Stable versions only". It might be currently set to receive Nightly builds.

Ok so maybe the notification is just being triggered for no reason, I went into update settings and it is showing that it is only looking for stable versions. I am not sure why the warning is happening, but at least it seems I do have the stable version installed and working.

- i just install a new computer.
- download filezilla from the "Quick download links" : https://filezilla-project.org/download.php?type=client
- install with default value


the version is 3.45.1

when i start filezilla, there is a popup to say it's the "Nightly Development Version"

It's actually strange... One could be a fluke, but now we have already two cases.

Does the package downloaded from https://filezilla-project.org/download.php?show_all=1 exhibit the same behavior?

then the name of the file is : FileZilla_3.45.1_win64_sponsored-setup.exe
the size 9.02 Mo

So we download 2 diffretents versions in 2 differents webpage.

Looks like the sponsored package contains a Nightly version, by accident. Need to wait for the dev.

The non-bundled packages seem to be correct.

I'm confused. How is this happening?

Time to debug the build system. My first guess: Something involving stuck tasks and cleanup/sync scripts running out-of-order.
