SFTP Network error: connection refused

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to make a SFTP connection y mi sever; when i try to connect by FTP and FTPS i don't hava a problema, but only change tu SFTP the connection and i can't make it, i have the Network connection refused, In my server i have all the protocols and ports open so i can't understand what could be the problem.

Does your server support SFTP?

Note that FTP(S) and SFTP are entirely different protocols. If you look past the similar name and identical purpose, they have absolutely nothing in common.

Why can i know if my server support SFTP? I thinks that is only different protocols that use different ports and a different level of security, what could be the requirements to review in my server to make sure that support SFTP?

While FTPS (FTP over TLS) is only an extension to the FTP protocol, SFTP is something completely different (different server and different service).

Your server operator must run an SFTP (based on the SSH2 protocol) server of some sort and not all offer SFTP. Best is to ask them if they do and what the credentials are.
