# of uploadable files simultaneously limited to two?
Hi, I am photographer and i recently got a limitless capacity of Google drive and decided to backup my photos to the G-drive.
I bought the FZ pro and started uploading, and it seems a bit disappointing that it does not meet my expected speed. I have gigabit internet connection, but get only about 30~40 mbps.
Also, it would be good if many files were uploaded at once, but in my case only two files were only uploaded simultaneously, while many were in queue.
This is also a inconvenience for me because the upload process was like one file was uploaded before the other, and client waited till the 2nd transfer was complete and thus showing short delays between transfers. Also after the 2nd transfer, the client waited for like 2sec to start a pair of upload.
each file is about 40mb, and i wonder if FZ has a limit for # of files for simultaneous upload. Beforehand, i used another FTP client called the air explorer, and it uploaded many files at once, thus showing virtually no delay between uploads.
Can someone help me figure the settings?

Settings - transfers - concurrent transfers
Our at least that is where it is for regular FTP

configured it right away. Thanks. I guess that is the max speed that i can get of a FTP solution then.

Using FileZilla Pro for connecting to Google Drive directly, is not FTP, but uses the Google APIs.

Thanks for the correction. Not really savvy to network stuff.
So far, i set the # to 4, and seems in good shape. Thanks everyone.

Assuming you are talking Mb and not MB...
It seems a little low... Is it the same through the web interface?

Taking speeds out of FileZilla always gets you Bytes/s (usually MB/s). So, the speeds discussed here are likely MB/s.
ISPs advertise in Mb/s or Gb/s (Megabits/second or Gigabits/second). 1Gb/s is 125MB/s, actual achieved speeds are lower.
bits are written in lower case, Bytes in upper case.
bits to Bytes: divide by factor eight
Bytes to bits: multiply with factor eight

Re: # of uploadable files simultaneously limited to two?
My ethernet is 1000Mbps, and FZ pro show about 30~40MiBs, so corresponds to 300Mbps.
Sometimes when the traffic(either up or down) all dead beside my upload, the speed show spikes of 60MiBs as well, but i am happy with the current speeds.
There are also traffic using subjects in my house beside my upload like another desktop or IPTV. So I guess that is the reason.

Yep, bandwidth is shared. Plus, each additional machine puts more load on the network equipment. Many consumer-level devices are underpowered (too weak CPU and/or too low RAM capacity) and will hit their limits pretty soon.
