Protocol Problem

#1 Post by Rod Lockwood » 2020-02-08 06:34

I have used FileZilla (in Windows and Linux) for 15 years to maintain my websites. I had to shut down one site a few years back, another site is being maintained by a new webmaster, and my small personal site was erased when my ISP did an overhaul. I am just now trying to access my personal site again after the ISP re-instated it. Since all of my settings for FileZilla are gone I had to start over. I used the Network Configuration Wizard in FileZilla 3.46.3 and successfully setup my site. But when I try to access it I keep getting “Command not supported by this protocol”. Unfortunately, it doesn’t indicate what command. I thought I still had to change something, especially since it switched from one of the FTP protocols to the HTTP one. These are my current settings and the current test results. Windows 7 Pro firewall is off.
The router firewall is set for FileZilla Client, tcp, 50000-50050, 50000, 3600 seconds.

I don't really understand the question. FileZilla does not support access by HTTP, only FTP (+FTPS), SFTP and Storj.

(If you are using FileZilla Pro and your hoster uses one of the Pro-supported storage protocols, please ask your question in the dedicated FileZilla Pro customer forum (viewtopic.php?f=2&t=50124).
No support requests over PM! You will NOT get any reply!!!
FTP connection problems? Please read Network Configuration.
