can upload files but not delete them

I have a Windows machine that I FTP to. It let's me upload files, but not delete them. I have google'd around a bit with no luck. I am sure it must be something simple. Any ideas?

Your account on the FTP server has been granted Write, but not Delete rights. If it's your machine, assign yourself the correct permissions, otherwise, ask the server administrator for doing so.

It depends on what you use as FTP server software.

We can help you only if you use FileZilla Server as your server software, we cannot support different products. In any case, look for the resource configuration for your FTP account - there you should be able to assign permissions.

But of course, that makes sense. FTP is my client on this machine. I will check with the offending software. I am sure it is just a setting somewhere.
