Sending 3 files in one double click

#1 Post by Omonge » 2020-03-12 14:24

Hello, is the following possible on FileZilla : create a link from FZ that you could put anywhere in your files or on your desktop, and that would, upon activation with a double click, launch FZ and execute a series of actions recorded when creating the link : select a FTP account to use, send X files to a specific location, and then close FZ (or do it without having the GUI, just the FTP actions in background) ?

Thanks !

No, macros are not possible using FileZilla alone. Automated transfers are not supported at all.

Of course, using a language like AutoIt or AutoHotkey, you could control the FileZilla GUI and process like any other application, too.

Better yet, use a dedicated commandline client (like lftp) for that task. They are fully scriptable.
